The European Civic Space launches a call for citizen participation

As of 15 October, an independent citizens' collective is looking for French, Walloon and Flemish citizens to join the European Citizens' Area. The first event, in the presence of European elected representatives and representatives of the European institutions, will take place on 8 December (evening) in Kortrijk. Jean de Bethune, new President of the Eurometropolis

On Monday 4 October, during the Eurometropolis Assembly, Jean de Bethune, deputy for the Province of West Flanders, was unanimously elected President. He succeeds Rudy Demotte, who is now Walloon Vice-President alongside Martine Aubry and Hélène Moeneclaey, French Vice-Presidents.
