Building the Franco-Belgian metropolis together
The Lille-Kortrijk-Tournai Eurometropolis supports cross-border projects through accreditations and partnerships.
The Lille-Kortrijk-Tournai Eurometropolis wishes to help Eurometropolitans to turn their projects into a concrete reality. Partnerships and accreditations are thus granted to support theinitiatives of protagonists and inhabitants of the cross-border territory.
Five criteria are indispensable in order to obtain the "Eurometropolis Label" or become a partner of the institution. Firstly, the proposed project must correspond to the Eurometropolis' fundamental objectives link to "Presentation" text. It should also contribute to its visibility, as well as to the emergence of a collective identity. Moreover, at least two of the three areas brought together under theEurometropolis – the Lille Metropolis, Wallonia-Picardy and South Western Flanders - must be affected by the initiative. Finally, the promotion of the initiative must be carried out in French and Dutch, the two languages of the Eurometropolis.
Obtaining the "Eurometropolis Label" provides opportunities to benefit from cross-border, and even European visibility. The Eurometropolis makes its network of contacts available and authorises the use of its logo on communication media. Events with a Eurometropolitan scope have now been awarded the accreditation: The Employment Forum, Futurotextiel, etc.
Partners of the Eurometropolis are supported in defining and carrying out their projects.
