Keeping up to date

There is no shortage of ways to keep informed about what’s happening in the Eurometropolis. There are currently three channels offering a cross-border programme: Transart for art and culture, Transit for business news and Transactu for news related to the three regions. They are broadcast on both sides of the border and co-produced by No Télé for Wallonia, WTV for Flanders and Wéo for the Lille metropolitan area. Financed by the European Union, the emphasis of these broadcasts is on concrete achievements. Flemish subjects are broadcast in Dutch with French subtitles, and vice-versa for French subjects.

Furthermore, each region has its own daily newspaper: "LilleMétropoleInfo" for the Lille metropolitan area, "Vivre la Wallonie" for the Walloon region and "Stadskrant Kortrijk" for the Kortrijk region. There are also several radio stations, including "Fréquence Wallonie", "NRJ Flandres", "Lille Métropole et Flandre”. The Flemish broadcasting company VRT also has a French website "".

On a European level, the websites of the MOT (Mission Opérationnelle Transfrontalière or Cross-border Operational Assignment), the Committee of the Regions, and "Toute l'Europe" (All of Europe) provide a large amount of information on European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation (EGTCs)e.
