Developing the Eurometropolitan networks
The Eurometropolis has set itself the goal of improving accessibility within its territory and the mobility of inhabitants and merchandise. To erase borders, the "Mobility and accessibility" Working Group recommends joint management of public transport and motorway, rail and river networks. There are several areas of intervention.
Firstly, efforts are being made to increase the frequency of public transport and homogenise its distribution, connection and pricing within the territory. Secondly, the Eurometropolis plans to support the re-qualification of border posts, particularly the one at Camphin-Lamain. Of course, the development of low-impact modes of transport is a priority. Green lanes, cycle networks, etc. will be developed throughout the cross-border territory.
