The main goal of the Eurometropolis Lille-Kortrijk-Tournai is to make this region a good place to live by fully making use of the competencies, experience and expertise of the French, Walloon and Flemish partners

Energy management is one of the main challenges of the Eurometropolitan region.

That is the reason why the Eurometropolis supports exchanges between the partners as well as a thorough knowledge of the different actors and the processes already in place in the territories of the Métropole européenne de Lille, Wallonie Picarde and West Flanders.

It plays an essential role in bringing the different actors together, in order for them to identify the most suitable contacts, depending on the themes.
The Eurometropolis not only supports exchange, but also stimulates the pooling of resources and provides guidance for the development of joint projects relating to renewable energy.

The Thematic Work Group for Energy focuses on 4 themes – Smart Grids, Methanisation and waste, Training of construction professionals and Energy in business areas – so that all partners can undertake concrete actions to improve quality of life in the Eurometropolitan region.
