16 December 2011 saw the mayors of all the communes belonging to the Eurometropolis coming together for their annual conference at Tournai's Tapestry and Arts Museum. Here, the Eurometropolis presented its action plan for 2012 - 2013, along with the results of the survey it had conducted on the concrete expectations of the communes. 3 mayors gave presentations of their experiences and practices in terms of cross-border cooperation. At the end of the conference the mayors each went away with the Eurometropolis flag.
